The ACADEMUS CRS-RM Response Management module serves as the central online communication server for the Academus CRS system. Its primary function is to manage and process real-time responses received from students using the ACADEMUS CR-50 Virtual Clickers.
Key Functionality and Connectivity
The Response Management module ensures smooth, real-time interactive sessions within the classroom environment:
- User Capacity: It supports up to 50 simultaneous online users in its standard configuration, with support for up to 250 users available in advanced configurations.
- Offline Operation: The module operates exclusively on a Wireless LAN (Local Area Network). It does not require an internet connection, eliminating the need for costly remote clickers, transmitters, or receivers.
Real-Time Monitoring and Control
The CRS-RM module provides teachers with comprehensive, real-time data and management tools:
- Interactive Display: A real-time monitoring display for:
- Attendance
- Connected Users
- Quiz Completion Status
- Student or Class Performance
- Response Monitoring: Provides instant, online monitoring of student responses at any moment during the session.
- Dual Screen Operation: Allows for effective classroom management with a dual-screen setup:
- The class sees only the Quiz page.
- The teacher can simultaneously see and use the administration page.
- Session Start Control: Features an option for automatic start of a quiz once all present students are connected to the system.
- Student Visibility: Allows key parameters like the timer and percentage of completion to be displayed to the students while they are answering a specific quiz.
- Activity Alerts: The system actively monitors the online status of every user and alerts the teacher to non-allowed performance, such as surfing the internet or using the phone or pad for applications outside of the Academus platform.
